Need a lift? You won’t if you’re traveling in one of the City of Poughkeepsie’s four new buses, because unlike the old ones, the floors in these are much closer to the ground. But better wheelchair access is just one of the differences between the new environmentally friendly hybrid-electric diesel buses and the city’s gas gas-guzzling, aging fleet.
