Grateful for compassion after accident

To the Editor:

April 28th of this year, my mom, Bette Staats, had a serious car accident on the Taconic State Parkway. Stanford and Milan Fire and Rescue Squads, along with Northern Dutchess Paramedics, responded. They all were the best. They were professional, kind, compassionate and expedient. Due to the nature of her injuries, Mom was taken to the St. Francis Trauma ER. There we found an unbelievable team of professional people. Again, professional, kind, compassionate and expedient. Everyone we came in contact with had a positive attitude. For such a horrible accident to turn into a positive experience has been helpful to Mom’s outlook as well as the family’s. We thank each and every one of you for being the person that you are and for doing what you do.
