City of Poughkeepsie Police have identified the body of a man found in the Fallkill Creek on Sept. 4 as 20-year-old Jeffrey Beary of Newburgh and are still searching for clues in his death.
Police ruled Beary’s death a homicide after responding to a report of a body in the water and finding his body in the creek near the intersection of North Cherry Street and Route 44/55 westbound at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday.
After an autopsy on Sept. 5, the police did not release any more information prior to press time.
