Nelson House Gets Reprieve in Capital Plan
Building demolition left out of 2006 budget

Even though Commissioner of Public Works Michael Murphy says that safety conditions are why the demolition of the Nelson House annex is necessary, the Dutchess County Legislature voted on Dec. 6 to leave the demolition of the deteriorating City of Poughkeepsie building out of its 2006 capital budget.
